Melt the butter and let cool slightly. In a bowl, mix together the sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Pour the melted butter into the bowl and whisk together. Briefly beat together the eggs and vanilla. Add to the bowl and whisk until you get a smooth batter. Now add the flour and stir until just combined. Do not overmix the batter. Line a 8 in by 8 in (20.3 cm by 20.3 cm) baking dish, leaving an overhang to easier remove the brownies after baking. Alternatively, use a square silicone cake pan. Transfer the batter into the baking dish and smooth the top by shaking the dish a bit left to right. Bake until the brownies are done, about 30 minutes. The top should begin to crack and a toothpick inserted into the center should come out with a couple of moist crumbs attached. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan, ideally while it's resting on a wire rack. Remove the brownies from the pan. On a cutting board, divide into quarters horizontally and vertically to get 16 fudgy squares. Enjoy!
